Well, she does have a large audience, and is more influential than your average celebrity. You see how she has doubled sales of obscure books overnight with her endorsements, she got her good friends Dr. Phil and Rachel Ray their own talk shows. She has a very loyal following. I think part of what you said, ironically, about her not being able to "control her life", is part of her appeal, she does have flaws, like all of us, but it creates an image of her being very real, not just another polished celebrity. Her message seems to be that she cannot neccessarily get her audience to vote for Obama, but at least get them to listen to him. I think she also wants to enhance her image as well, if she can sell books and other products with her endorsements, she probably wants to see if she can have a similar effect on national politics.

How do you know her bf is gay? how do you know she is a lesbian? she gains and loses weight...so what? how many people in America do that? A LOT...so your question is senseless, because you don't have any real and concrete proof to back up your claims. I don't even like Oprah but I wouldn't judge her without knowing her personally...you ought to sit back and mind your own business, stop hating,it shortens life spans.

Perhaps you are right. Then again, Oprah doesn't have an audience or following that are " Rocket Scientists". She has made great strides in her profession as host of a talk show, has influenced many and regardless of her frailties, has imparted wisdom to many . She has the money to do what she darn well pleases and many love her for it. To each his own,

On September 19, 2000 George W Bush was behind by 10 points in the polls until she had George W Bush on the show, and gave her apparent endorsement to him. The next day he was the front runner.
Kind of made her think that she could influence people.

What is odd is there are no candidates on the Dem's side with leadership experience. The Republicans have several great leaders with positive experience in running governments and successful businesses.

Oprah is a liberal and all liberals think they can tell you how to live your life better than you can do it yourself. They have good intentions, no matter what the outcome is, and to them, that is all that matters.

O please, then who is able to give advice? if you judge people on how they manage their personal life, you couldn't trust divorcees, people with religious views (can you take advice from somone who has faith without proof?), anyone overweight or underweight, anyone with adictions - including smokers right? sign of weakness and all that...
