my science teacher is making us do this project. he has everything on the internet but his directions arent very clear. i have asked a bunch of questions and have been trying to do this for days now. but i dont understand what i really have to do or where i can find this information. can u help

"In the second task, you will have to determine the parts of the atom. This should include creating a data table in a word program. The data table will need to include the mass and charge of an electron, proton, and neutron. You will also need to explain what subatomic particles are represented by the atomic number and mass number on the periodic table. In addition, you will need to explain what the nucleus and electron orbitals are. You will need to determine which makes up the volume of the atom, and which makes up the majority of the mass. You will need to sketch a model of an atom with at least 5 protons to represent these ideas."

these are the directions. but i dont understand them

What's NOT to understand????

A "data table" is nothing more than a SPREADSHEET (or at least it looks like one).

And for the rest - these are the QUESTIONS that you have to research the ANSWERS for:

HERE is what is being asked...

"What is the mass and charge of an electron, proton, and neutron?"
"Explain what subatomic particles are represented by the atomic number and mass number on the periodic table."
"Explain what the nucleus and electron orbitals are."
"Determine which makes up the volume of the atom, and which makes up the majority of the mass."

And FINALLY - "Sketch a model of an atom with at least 5 protons to represent these ideas."

THAT is what is being asked ;);););)

on microsoft word, create a table. the table should display the mass and charge of electron, prorton, and neutron. (charge of each) explain the atomic and mass numbers on the periodic table. explain the nucleus's and the electron's orbitals. discover the volume of an atom, and what the majority of an atom is made of. draw a picture of an atom. in the picture show atleast 5 protons to represent things.

hope this helped
