Hello,
I am from a time where Californians were very much frowned upon. Our governor back then had a poster out flashing California and telling them to go home, so ......
However every one is a individual.
I truly have not run into a Californian in real life who is not rude. Why is this?
On the computer I have no clue where people are from, but I find when they move up here to Oregon they tend to be pushy, very dirty, terrible drivers, very artificial (meaning they talk about money all the time), they have no respect for the land, no respect for others, just mean people.
Maybe this has to do with so many people in California, and there weird laws there?
My Mr. the first place he stopped when he moved to the west coast was California, then he got wise and moved up here to Oregon.
Californians just breed chaos and hate.
This has been my personal experience.
ADD;
Be nice to me and I will be nice back. However throw your garbage out the car window on the highway, go through our towns at 60, and you may not be to popular here. I have seen all this happen.

In addition to "Guard Dog's" comment that most Californians capitalize the "C" when spelling the name of their state, also notice that with very few exceptions, most DO NOT call their state "Cali". That term has a derogatory connotation, and is only used by people who don't really understand what it actually means. They use it because some stupid rap-crap singer used it in the lyrics of a song, and they think it sounds "cute". They don't understand that when they say "Cali" they are actually using a term that insults their state.

As a Californian... I would have to say that there's some good and some bad.
As a blonde, people look at me and automatically think I'm a superficial, high maintenance, ditsy girl.. which is far from the truth. Some are like that, yes, and it's more typical to see in Hollywood where many actors live with all their riches.. then there's also people who are really down to earth like those who you'd expect to meet in other states.
So.. I think it's a pretty good balance. We take advantage of all we have though I think.. like the ocean and beaches, mountains, lakes, desert, big cities and small towns. It's like our own little world. haha

well, i'm from CA so I'm a bit biased..
but i like them :) they seem to me to be a friendlier, more personal group than some other states' inhabitants.. not that others are not friendly or kind, but I've had countless random conversations with people who i've never seen before in my life who just come up and talk to me, and it's perfectly genial--not scary or anything. Plus the whole laid-back liberalism is pretty cool, in my opinion.
Then again, Californians are the subjects of a lot of biases... i know a lot of people who think we're all blonde tan surfers with below-average intellectual capacity, which is a bit funny :)

I think they are like people anywhere else. Some I agree with; some I don't. The human condition does not change at the state line.

I use to live in L.A. and Orange County and Im sorry but I am not a fan of Cali people. Most of them are fake and rude and could care less about anyone else. I also think that California is overated and just a nasty place to live. Im sorry if i dont like to breath pollution everyday and never see the sky cuz of all the smog.
I also hate how a lot of people in Cali think they are cool because they think live in a place that everyone wants to live. I honestly dont know anyone who wants to live there and I was the last one of my family and relatives (15 in all) to leave. People are realizing that Cali just isnt what it use to be and we are all leaving.
I am a huge promoter of leaving California and and cant tell people enough how terrible it is to live there.
Just my opinion!
