Goldfish can easily go 5 days without food. In fact, it's recommended to feed goldfish only every other day.

I would guess 10 days to 2 weeks, but DO NOT try this as an experiment. The damage may be irreversible even if you start feeding it again after a week, and it could die anyway. If you are thinking about going away on vacation, there is special food you can buy that lasts for a period of time, from a few days ("weekend feeder") to a week ("weekly feeder").

If the water conditions are good(no ammonia or Nitrite,Nitrates low, temperature stable and correct) fish can go for months without eating. I once owned an Oscar that went on a six month hunger strike, and then resumed eating like nothing at all had happened. He lived for more than ten years after this little tantrum.

About 2 to 3 weeks until they will die, depending on the goldfish, but after 1 week, their body will start eating away it's own muscle and fat, and this is DEFINITELY inhumane. A week is as long as I would reccomend going for.

Its hard to say but goldfish tend to be very hardy. They can survive a long time just by eating the waste and bacteria that build up in the gravel. Thats what they are doing when they suck up gravel and then spit it back out. If I had to guess, I would say that in an established aquarium, a goldfish could last at least a week without food. I wouldn't be surpised if that guess was way under though.

They could probably go a few weeks but why would you want them to? You can buy feeder blocks especially for goldfish that are good for a week and will even last longer. They're relatively cheap and work quite well.

I would say probably closer to 2-3 weeks- however I would never advocate neglecting something to see how long it survived, or leave something hoping it'd be alive when I got back....
