My husband and I have been suspecting that I may be pregnant for almost two weeks...
We finally got a pregnancy test and it did show a positive almost immediately.
But... we did have sex about an hour and a half before I took the test... Will that effect the result?

nope, your pregnant!! Congrats!

Pregnancy tests read the hcg hormone, that hormone does not exist without a developing baby. Unless you are on fertility drugs (which could affect the result) you are pregnant!

I would think that having sex is a good way to get a positive result on a pregnancy test. In fact, if you don't have sex, I'm pretty sure you'll get a negative result every time.

No, having sex shouldn't affect your test - Congrats! You're pregnant!

No. I doubt sperm has hCG in it. And nothing else would be different than if you didn't have sex.
