One container with a volume of 1 L contains argon at a pressure of 1.77 atm, and a second container of 1.50 L volume contains argon at a pressure of 0.487 atm. they are then connected to each other so that the pressure can become equal in both containers. what is the equalized pressure? i guess we have to use dalton's law. but i dunno

PV = nRT
P3(V1 + V2) = (n1 + n2)RT
P3(V1 + V2) = (P1V1/RT + P2V2/RT)RT
P3 = (P1V1 + P2V2) / (V1 + V2)
P3 = ((1.77)(1.0) + (0.487)(1.50)) / (1.0 + 1.50)
P3 = 1.0002 atm. ≈ 1.00 atm.
