They are not a major threat to us or something, right? They just like perch themselves on our cakes and we squish them...

I don't kill bugs because I figure...the commandment says thou shall not kill.....I think this includes everything, I mean really some bugs god had to put a lot of thought into don't ya think??

I really don't HATE ants---they just need to stay OUTSIDE, and I'll stay INSIDE, and we can co-exist this way quite nicely. But, if they DARE invade MY "territory" (because I do not invade theirs), then--it's open season for the can of Raid--except in the kitchen, around food. Then---NOTE--the 409, Mr. Clean, Pine-Sol, various other household spray cleaners will work well too for eradicating these little pests.
And YES, I must agree with "libraryl..." on this one--that MANY insects are VERY beneficial. However, I defy ANYONE to find a use for the FLY!!

I had a colony of the small black ants visit every summer and play in my kitchen sink. They are so cute. They would stay for a few days and move on.

People don't hate ants they're just scared of the diseases many people believe they carry and you shouldn't generalise by saying 'people'. You should say 'some people'.

They're annoying because normally when you see one, there really are like a ton more near by.

did u know that there are a type ants that actually eat everything that comes in their way? (i don't know where they are from....)
they move in a group and are dangerous then a lion
