Until racism no longer exists you can never be too concerned. In terms of getting into college that should only be based on merit. Scholarships on the other hand depend on who is giving the scholarship. If it is a school or government scholarship then they should only be based on merit, but a private person giving away money has the right to determine who and how the money is given away.

Actually, some funds like the United ***** College fund isn't much compared to all the other funds, grants, and loans available today, however, I think the pendulum has swung a bit far regarding the political correctness in regards to racism.
One could make an arguement that affirmative action was racist against white people, yet it was supposedly done away with not too long ago.
I think its time we start slapping down all those that play the race card for one. Meanwhile there's people that are trying to be convicted for saying the "N" word...yet thier homeboys say the word all the time. That to me is inequality. Sure, perhaps certain words aren't appreciated..or for that matter not really called for in normal conversation, but it isn't a hate crime. It isn't racism. Those thin skinned people that are so despirate to make themselves out to be a victim need to grow up and be apart of American values and society or get the hell out of my country. This country wasn't built by whiners, or the chicken littles or victim's ...it was built by people who stood up, counted for something, was brave and bold enough to fight for what they believed and be honorable.
There are laws out there protecting people from discrimination, prejudice and racism. Quit trying to get a free lunch through law suits and get a life. Be responsible.
