Its not OK for any 16 yr old girl to be pregnant. There are so many ways out there to prevent pregnancy!!!

Yes. 16 isn't the best age to get pregnant. But teenage pregnancy does happen, and it has happened from the beginning of time - so it's nothing new. Jamie Lynn is just very lucky that her family is able to support her financially. The baby will probably be brought up with the best hired help that money can buy. So no doubt Jamie Lynn will still have lots of free time to pursue her own dreams of being famous. :-)

I'm 17 and it doesn't really have any effect on me. I go to Princess Anne High School and we have the "PA Center" that pregnant girls from all high schools around the city get sent to to teach them how to parent and everything. I have 3 pregnant girls in my classes. One of my friends just found out she was pregnant like 2 weeks ago and turned 18 last Thursday. One of my best friends is 16 and married with a son [who was born on her 16th birthday]. I don't think it was the best decision for her, but it was her decision to make. Just like Jamie Lynn. She decided to have sex. Her mom did not force her to do it. It is her fault she is pregnant.

No, I have different opinions but I believe it is wrong.
1. She was having sex before marriage as a 16 year old girl with a 19 year old boy.
2. She is a role model to young boys and girls who watch Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101".
3. She was not married.
4. She cannot handle a baby.

well it would be pretty common in the natural world if there weren't all the laws and social mores. infact women used to get married and pregnant at 16 all the time back in the olden days
these days women are waiting forever to have kids and the older you are, especially when you're over 35 it increases your childs chances of having downs syndrom and birth defects. There is a huge population of retarded people due largly in part to women having children too late in life. so you could say having a child after 35 is as bad if not worse than having one at 16

Uh.... YEAH it's wrong. I'm not one of those people who scream at anyone who makes love before they're married. But for the love of God, use protection! It's not like it's hard to get. Besides, I think you should only make love to someone you, well, Love. And if she loved this guy she wouldn't have said (At least, I read on Wikipedia that's what she said) just after Thanksgiving she didn't have a steady boyfriend.

Well I think sorta because she is NOT married.=( Her boyfriend is 19 and she 16 (jail time). She following in Britney's foot steps just Britney was married first but i say that becuase she has a NO life boyfriend and she is TOO young to even know what she got herself into! =(

i really don't think she is ready for a child i mean look she's ONLY 16, but it's her life she does what she wants, just hope everything will go out ok
