I'm constantly laughing.. and I mean CONSTANTLY. If something happens, I'll laugh at it for about 5 minutes, or think about it later and burst out laughing. I often watch how everyone often forgets about it, but I don't. I'm not even an outgoing person, I'm actually pretty depressed.. yet I'm ALWAYS laughing. I'm really starting to think it's unhealthy, and I HATE it! What is wrong with me? Everyone thinks I'm weird because of this. I'm starting to think I have some type of weird problem. Is this normal?

It could indicate a mental disorder, and just to ease your mind about 4% of people have serious mental disorders, and about 17% have mental disorders that aren't that serious. It's called the labile affect, and it's when your mind laughs on its own. It can be caused by depression or anxiety, or other mental disorders, but judging by your sentences, I doubt you have something serious.

Get on a psych eval, because if depression is causing this, and you have some other disorder, than you may have a crazy reaction to serotonin-reuptake inhibitors (prozac, effexor, zoloft). Don't worry about it, people with head injuries and other things get it too. Don't think you're weird, you seem nice and just don't understand that mental disorders are not that serious unless you're a psychopath, severly depressed, or schizophreniform spectrum. So just get checked out, I'm sure it's not anything except depression.

Find an other way to be positive. We all want to make the best of a bad situation and that's your way, but you are short of ideas. Get more ideas and get ready for an other kind of action from which you can get satisfaction. You are questioning your competency which is good, just get more competency in different things. One other way is make reasons to laugh, but it is not that easy, so you need to WORK on it. All the best, merry Christmas.

Laughter is often a symptom of anxiety, and anxiety is often associated with depression. If you feel like you're often depressed, seek professional help. There are some very good medications on the market to treat anxiety and depression.

It's probably uncommon. It only means you're different and have a strong memory about positive things. It probably isn't normal, but it's probably good.
