Yes I have as my heart wasn't really into it but at the same time I felt somewhat forced into it. That's why I try to avoid making promises to people at all costs as I don't want to feel pressured to do something because I have to do it. I should do it because I want to do it and because it's from my heart.

Yes. Just recently, my friend told me not to get her anything for Christmas, because she couldn't afford to get me anything. She made me promise. But, I had already bought her something. I have to break my promise, I am going to give it to her anyway and explain to her that it doesn't matter that she can't get me anything. She is my friend and that's enough.
