What part of the bible tells about the birth of christ, wisemen, etc.?

Is it the Old Testament, New Testament, and WHO captures the main story ? My husband, who is not christian, asked me last night, and I could not answer him . . .!

It is in the new testament and I believe each of the 4 Gospels have a version of the Story. Luke and John are the ones you hear most.

Its in the Book of Luke....Luke 2:1-20 to be exact.
