I absolutely LOVE everything about the band Incubus, but god those lyrics... They're like these little beautiful jewels of knowledge... I don't know. Anyway, I think Brandon Boyd is one of the greatest philosophers ever to have roamed this earth. Anybody agree?

Yes... his lyrics are very surprisingly insightful! I like your phrase - "jewels of knowledge"! Bit like pearls of wisdom.
(OK, I was guilty of thinking that he's a pretty-boy... man was I wrong)
edit - yeah, Wish you were here just reminds you about how good life can be, and about all the little things that are really so amazing when you think about them (think its "blanket", not plain, but same difference). Whats what I really like about all the lyrics as a whole - that they're pretty positive. Yet there are songs with lyrics that poke fun at, or just really have a go at, certain things that aren't so positive. Like Agorophobia... or Blood on the ground.

try looking at Jeff Buckley, Leonard Cohen & Bob Dylan, that material is amazing
