Sky is still the best for Digital Television. Also does anyone think Virgin Media are worth having for TV,Internet,Broadband.I've heard so many bad reports on Virgin Media, and that their Sales reps are extremely pushy in trying to get you to sign up and agree to having Virgin Media. We've had reps call on us,trying to get a sale, and when you say no they get rather forceful and nasty.Anyone else had this problem with Virgin reps?Hazel,West Midlands,United Kingdom

im with bt and i can do what i like , i can download as much ias i want and it only cost me £19 i started off on an option 4 which was costing me £30 a month then it dropped each year there after, there is now only 3 options so i have now got option 3, i was told that bt own all the lines so anything needs changing etc.. then all the other companies have to go through them which can take time , the other compaqnies have to pay a rent to bt to use the lines and if there is any issues its bt that sorts it out.
when i renewed my contract this year they gave me the vision box for free no questions asked and took £5 off my line rental.
i have had a few issues with the home hub they have always came good in the end, the only thing i dont like with them is that you seem to always get a an indian call center which sometimes it is hard to understand them but they are alway polite als i only get a 6.3mb conection instead of the 8 i pay for but it wouldnt matter who i was with as its to do with the area im in

all my friends and family complain about the providers they are with and are considering joining bt

I agree with you about BT in terms of technical sophistication and reliability. However the surcharge they have recently imposed on the payment of bills by cheque sent through the post rather than paid by direct debit is iniquitous, and hits the low paid and the elderly in particular. This company's customer service staff if you have a query, or a fault with your
equipment, even by British standards, are excessively rude
and obstructive.

Virgin broadband can be a bit "iffy" but if you want to be downloading / uploading / transferring stuff it is still the best deal as there isn't any restriction on use.

I think your could possibly download 2 films per month with BT
