I love pretty much any rock but I'm looking for softer sounding relaxing rock right now I have enough upbeat hard core and exciting rock I just need stuff that's relaxing

There are several different kinds of relaxing music, but it depends on what your definition is. There are songs called standards, that are sung by Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin, for example, that are mostly love songs and are well done. There is also a type of music called Easy Listening that in many cases are instrumentals of famous songs. In any case, it's always good to broaden your horizons! a perfect circle is a good band to relax to. some of their songs are edgy, but try a few such as "magdalena" "brena" and "3 libras".
also try the band Live with the songs "a dolphin's cry" and "lightning crashes"
