I'll see a spider in one part of my house, and then later on in the night I'll see them in my bedroom.

This happens at least twice a day. Is there a reason they're following me? Is it a smell?

Spiders don't have noses but they can sense smells through their feet. They also leave a thin line of silk behind as they walk from one place to another. It might be the same spider moving from one part of the house to another using its old trails as guides or you might have two spiders, one that comes out in the bedroom. Spiders are smart and could easily associate you putting the light on in the bedroom with an increase in the insects in there.

Well there could be quiet a few reasonable answers.Firstly the spider may not be following you, instead it might come to your room often because it might have made a spider web in your room or laid an egg in your room.Another possible theory is that there might be other little insects in your room that the spider likes to pray on.Also it might just the like the atmosphere of your room and probably think that your room is a very safe place to reside. They use the hairs on their leg to smell with. It most likely has several places it checks for food during the day, and at night it probably goes into your bedroom to rest since your bedroom is most likely the warmest room in your house when you're sleeping in it.

aside from the leaping spiders (Salticidae), that have magnificent eyesight, maximum spiders remember basically approximately completely on an acute experience of "touch", picking up vibrations by somewhat tender hairs reported as trichobothria. it is no longer likely that shade or smells are of value yet temperature probable performs a factor.

spiders use their tiny little hairs on their legs to smell or identify things. They probably want your cookie which is under your bed. lol just kidding. but try exterminating the arachnids as quick as possible before they lay eggs.
