for sure. less chores, more technology, my own car, cell phones, school got easier from when my parents went since the amount of knowledge to graduate decreased, and the assistance from teachers and stuff like calculators and computers increased. i didn't have to have a job before i graduated like they did. stuff has changed a lot. life is way easier unless you choose for it to be more difficult.

Well, yes and no. My mom had a great life growing up, two parents who never divorced, both of them treated everyone fairly, and thats what she learned. My dads parents never divorced, but his father used to break 2x4s across his back when he was bad. Both of my parents got divorced when I was 13, and it was hard for my mom to make ends meet, but she always did her best.

I think kids these days have it very hard. Not only is there so much competition between them for "things" like video games and phones, but I think kids are far less respectful these days and this reflects on their behavior towards others. Kids have to worry more about some psycho pedophile kidnapping them while walking home from school. I never had that worry. I used to play outside til 9pm sometimes, but that was a long time ago and kids just cant do that anymore. I think our world is a much less safe place than it was when I grew up, and it will continue to become less and less safe with the increase in population. Its an unfortunate thing, but its true.
