A misfire means 1 or more cylinders is not working properly. Not that a spark plug is firing at the wrong time. You could have a bad plug, bad plug wire, bad injector, or bad compression. Vacuum leaks, bad EGR valve. A good mechanic doesn't guess, he repairs the vehicle.

Both statements sound correct.

For your vehicle to run smoothly, it is necessary that your engine burns gasoline efficiently.

A bad fuel injector means you would not be getting enough gas into the engine. That will cause it to "misfire," or not ignite the gasoline properly (since there isn't the right amount in there).

If the other mechanic checked it out and said one of your injectors is bad, that is likely the cause. Other things can cause a misfire, but if it's already been diagnosed...there you go :)

If you have a bad fuel injector, that means the injector is clogged with dirt and is not supplying enough fuel to the cylinder in order to fire. You probably have a dirty fuel system and a dirty fuel filter. The injector may need to be replaced. I would also replace the fuel filter and clean the fuel system with fuel system cleaner. If you don't know how to do these things have a qualified mechanic do it.
