Yes and NO
The original mission was to take out Saddam. Yes
But lawless chaos broke out afterward and we caused it, because we took down the one man who held that country together with an "iron fist". Saddam wasn't a nice guy, but they Sunni and Shiites didn't fight against each other then either.
We will not be able to leave Iraq anytime soon. When we go into a country and do the amount of damage we have done to this one, we have to stay until it is fixed. We have to fix what we broke. Just like we are still in Japan and Germany.
We will be in Iraq for another 50years ... fixing what we broke.

The problem is, this is not a "straight question". It is more complex than that.
Some aspects have been accomplished. Some have not. And some have changed over the course of time.

The true mission to steal cash and put people in a state of fear that makes them easily controlled may not be fully accomplished yet, but it is well onits way.

The mission was to find and destroy any threat of WMD's, so in reality, the mission was accomplished before we even went to war. So yes, but not because of us.

Sure. We killed Saddam's two sons, executed Saddam himself, executed some of his government officials, some of them we locked in prisons. Completely destabilized and destroyed their country. We helped over one million (1 million) of "oppressed" Iraqi man, woman and children to face the Allah. We keep pumping their free oil. Operation "Iraqi Freedom" is a success. Mission accomplished! Aren't we proud of ourselves and of our leaders?

The 'mission' has been changed so often that I don't even recall what it is supposed to be.

I bet most conservatives don't know what the mission is.
Here is a typical conservative response:
"We have to stay until we've won"
What do you mean when you say "won"?
"Winning means won, and we have to win, otherwise we lose, and my momma didn't raise no loser, so I say we have to win, and that means staying the course, surging until it's won, go Cowboys!"
