I live in Illinois and I already own the car. My parents are saying that the insurance is going to be to much to pay for. How much do you think it will cost per month?

Hey kid, what's in your parents head? a 3000GT? That's an sport car and you a teen, that for insurance companies it's 90% risk of accident in other words you are a lethal weapon on the road. For that instance you have to pay from $450.00 or more at MONTH for insurance cost.
The best sell the car and save your pocket, your parents pockets and your life and the most important the life of others. I cops watch you driven a car like that without an adult you go to jail and a big ticket. That car maybe was your dream but are near to becomes in your best nightmare.
The best car for a kid it's a family car who looks sporty like Honda from 1990 to 1994, low insurance payments, no show off and secure or you can buy and old impala and transform this in sporty car. Be smart kid and take care.

It's going to be expensive, VERY expensive. The only way it'd be more expensive is if it was a Twin Turbo. After all, the 3000GT, Skyline, Supra, RX7 and NSX are the top-tier sports cars of Japan.

One way that might help make it less costly is to have your parents put it on their policy and add you as a covered driver. If not, just add the car to their policy and pay the difference untill you can do it yourself. This way, you'll get a multi-vehicle discount, inaddition to any other discounts you'd already get. Most insurance companies, like American Family (my ins company) are flexible and cover anyone that drives an insured car.

Not able to tell you the exact amount because i'm not an insurance agent. but if it's under your name and as primary driver, your looking at $350 or more a month.

you could try and get a insurance quote online.
www.progressive.com is a good place to try. they have price comparison with other insurance company too.

modern-day was $one thousand.00 extra low priced than allstate once I obtained my quote, and that i've got allstate motor vehicle insurance! (for 3 yrs on the time) became into $620 in line with 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for finished insurance on my bike. finished coverage is the area for people who do some difficulty to decrease to rubble your automobile (or bike) the coverage company will pay to have it fastened. finished risk-free practices an excellent form of the time will conceal issues like a tree falling on the motor vehicle, or different concerns which you merely would desire to no longer have prevented.

I can't tell by the name...but male drivers under 25 can cost you almost what the car cost. Being a GT means it's a sports car, which cost even more. Best bet for you is to sell the car...because you can't afford the insurance...I'm serious.

depending on where you live, could be like $150 a month. Do you only need liability? look into breaks you can get for being on honor roll or completing drivers ed/driving school too. def. tell the insurance people you have an alarm on it..also tell them you drive like 10-20 miles a day tops. they dont need to know the truth. =P
