Right-click the 'connection symbol' (it looks like a monitor) that sits beside your clock in the system tray (bottom right side of screen). Then click 'Repair' to reset your IP Address.

first off, there's a multitude of things it could be. when asking questions, be as specific as possible to get the most direct answers. the model (toshiba has been making pc's for quite some time) and operating system are the minimum things you should include.

now, on to your question:

I've experienced the same problem, with my toshiba notebook no less! I have an a135-4645 that I use for day-to-day stuff like email, web browsing, watching movies on the plane, etc... one day, it just up and stopped connecting to known hotspots, and Vista was giving me an error "unable to start server." whenever I would try to start the networking center. My problem turned out to be a lemon computer, I sent it back to Toshiba, and it would return with a different problem... anyway, do a virus and adware/spyware scan first and foremost. AVG provides a decent *free* antivirus if you don't already have one. If those come back negative, try updating the driver, you can find you model and select your appropriate driver from here:

Hope this helps!
