Im 19 and I have been thinking about my future alot. I have a few questions on this subject.
What exactly does someone in real estate do everyday?
How do you move up in this field?
How's the money?
What exactly do you have to take in college?

I would suggest you consider a 4 year degree. It will provide you options in the future. As for becoming a Realtor in your state, check out your states website for real estate license requirements. Most state require a certain number of hours in education, then you have to pass a state exam. As for what we do all day, we PROSPECT, PROSPECT, PROSPECT.! Some make alot of money, others survive. Being a Realtor is owning your own business. You need capital to get started, you pay all of your own expenses, taxes, marketing fee's, education, you name it you pay for it. It could take 3 to 5 years to make a profit.

My personal advise, begin to take your classes now if you like, but you need to make a living doing something else full time. Don't let anyone convince you that you can make money part time in this business. It just won't happen. People spending thousands of dollars want an experienced, knowledgable Realtor, not a part timer.

Procedures vary across the United States. When you are ready to take a Real Estate Course, look online or in the Yellow Pages for Real Estate Schools. You will learn everything necessary by taking the real estate course, you don't have to take a college course for Real Estate, unless the city/state where you live requires it. Some Real Estate Schools have Saturday/Sunday courses.

Good Realtors are marketing professionals. Putting a sign in the yard and listing the property on the MLS is a small part of the job. A Realtor has to be able to identify the best possible means to reach likely buyers. This is often done by writing and placing advertising in various publications, staging events that bring buyers to the house and developing a large network of potential buyers and sellers. It is not all about selling the individual properties either because you are paid solely on commission, thus you have to constantly sell yourself to develop new clientele.
You don't have to go to college to become a Realtor, but would you entrust, likely, your largest asset to someone who didn't have one? I suggest you go for the 4 year degree and take classes is business, advertising/marketing and English and public speaking to sharpen your communication skills both verbally and in writing.
