i would reccomend a reputable title company do a complete
searh for you if you are serious about buying it. there could
be liens you dont know about etccc.
also be sure the house has a stable foundation, you dont
want one with a cracked slab.i am not sure what rd is,
they or a realtor would know.

US Department of Agriculture Rural Development is the only logical abbreviation (though why the government has so many different cabinets handling foreclosed property, I don't know).
You'd think these listing would bother to explain the abbreviations and who you should contact if there isn't a phone number listed for the property. HUD I could figure out, VA I could live with, but RD was a stumper.

The only RD I can think of is Recorded Deed, but that doesn't make sense in this situation.

That should be the Firm that is handling/holding the deed for the foreclosure.
RD is probably the initials of the company. Other examples on my foreclosure lists I have seen are:
Firm: VA, HUD, Realty Express, Coldwell Banker...etc.
I have doing a lot of research on foreclosures and short sales lately.

It could mean "Rural Development". I'll echo Jerry's remarks. If you're serious, be sure to get an attorney/title co to do a title search. They can tell you for sure.
