Well, *I* personally don't but my cat does, big time! Ever stepped on a cold fresh furball with bare feet? Ewwww. I solved her problem. I feed her a special formula cat food made to control furballs and I use this stuff called Petromalt.

No.
My cat does sometimes...but if I feed her food with plenty of fiber, give her greens to nibble, and brush her every day, she usually doesn't.
Also, you can try a little blob of petroleum jelly or hairball remedy. That might help.

no I don't especially after seeing the video about the girl that had to have a 5 lbs hairball removed from her stomach because she ate her hair constantly and her body could not break it down so it just continued to accumulate in her stomach. (***** I'm so glad I am not a cat****)

mix a teaspoon of olive or canola oil in the wet food you feed the cat or buy hairball medicine for the cat at the store , or vacuum the cat or brush it

Yeah, I nearly choked to death on one last week.
The price you pay for trying to keep yourself clean, eh?
EDIT: Christiana: You ARE an animal- the only other alternatives is to be a plant or a fungus.
