You give you opinon on a question and then someone has a go at you for opinon when they gave theirs in the question i just awnsered a question and this bloke is haveing ago at peoples opinons it's just stupid!!!

See you all have different ideas on this and i dont see anyone attacking anyone else!! The bloke has deleted my answer but oh my days its frustrating but hey i give my opinon wether they like it or not!!!

Some people are not strong enough inside to be questioned. Others it's that their belief is blind and they don't know why they believe what they do, but they do so "Don't question it".
It winds me up a little but then I realise that it's just jerkish behaviour and ignore them.
Believe me, I can certainly hold my own in an arguement, I just wont go down to their level.

Sure, it's annoying. But so many topics are hot buttons for people (especially in the Politics area!) that there's always going to be some people who use their questions as a soapbox for their opinions, and who don't really want to hear anything they disagree with.

Trust me you have no idea how annoying it really is. If you saw half the emails i received on last my account than you would find out how stupid it really is, unfortunately I happen to take a few argument a bit too far and got the account banned.

alot of opinions on here are rude. Exspecally if you go to the law enforcement and police section. It makes me wonder who the real socio paths are. The ones locked up or the ones running corrections. Rudest answers on yahoo can be found in that section.

Yep, know exactly what you mean. Personally I'd be much more open if I felt more confident people weren't going to just attack people for having an opinion...
In my opinion, Yahoo Answers is (or should be) about asking people what their opinion is, not asking them to blindly agree to yours like some kind of subservient sheep.

So saying ... if an opinion makes absolutely no logical sense, I will generally hope to explain the logic I was applying to reach my answer, rather than just spit my dummy out and get abusive.

yep it's pretty aggravating. just blow it off and keep answering questions cuz people want your opinion or they wouldn't ask the questions here. Not everyone that answers on here is serious so they pick at everyone. Don't sweat it, they shouldn't get the opportunity to have that much control over you.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if someone posts a controversial opinion they have to expect that there will be someone else that will find it objectionable and want to respond to it. If they do object then they should do so politely and with understanding.

Like someone will ask a question and you'll give your opinion on it and then they'll attack you because of your opinion even though they're the one who asked you in the first place!
