No, not really. This came about because a protein found in chickens has also been found in T Rex. All this shows is that the protein which is common to birds is also common to a branch of the dinosaurs that includes T Rex. It strengthens the evidence for birds evolving from a branch of the dinosaurs and shows that certain of mutations that led to modern birds had already occurred in a branch of the dinosaurs before birds evolved.
