find the least common multiple of the denominater, 5 and 7 which is 35.
then u multiply the numerater of the fractions by the same number u multiplyed the denominaters by to get the 35. 4times7=28, 6times 5=30 so 28/35 and 30/35 now you have fractions with the same denominater.
now you just add the numeraters 28 + 30 and u get 58. 58/30 but you should make it simpler by divideing it. its easiest if u divide by 2. 29/15 is the answer but if you want to make it a mixed number its 1 7/15

You need to find the LCM for 5 and 7 which is 35:

(4/5 * 7/7) + (6/7 * 5/5) =
28/35 + 30/35 =
58/35

Best of luck!

First find the common denominater which in this case would be 35. Change your denominators to 35.

4/5 = 28/35 (5 goes into 35 7 times. 7x4 is 28 hence 28/35)

6/7 = 30/35 (7 goes into 35 5times. 5x6 is 30 hence 30/35)

Now add 30/35 + 28/35 and you get 58/35.

Now reduce to lowest terms. you get 1-23/35
