I thought I had found the perfect girl in my second ex... (the ex might be a clue as to what happened with THAT relationship). She actually left me. I kept beating myself up over her. What did I do wrong? Why did she leave? How could she get married to the man she claimed abused her when they were together? I kept asking those question for years.... until I met a new girl. I feel she completes me better than my ex ever did. Time doesn't necessarily heal all wounds, but having someone to help you heal them helps alot.

maybe try telling yourself "it wasnt the best thing" Holding onto something you think is the best....why try to begin over if you think there isnt anything better? Or try a 'different' best.

one day you just might get sick of yourself being sad about the past. try today being that day and move into the future happily. or at least optimistically. the sun does it everyday. peace

unfortunately it will take some time their is no special potion to stop the hurt for some its easy to move on and begin dating again, if you do that, make sure you take things slow like the turtle and the rabbit slow n steady wins the race, for others focusing on loving themselves and doing everything the couldnt do but wanted to when married just be carefull and be safe but the key is to not hold your feelings in, find someone who is willing to listen to you and who you can be open and honest to about your feelings with, your mom a friend etc. and talk to them whenever your down and when your not keep yourself distracted and find some hobbies like the saying goes out of sight out of mind... good luck and remember time heals all wounds!!!!!!!!

wow 6 years....that's alot. and yes it does hurt!
sad to say...my fiance and I called off our engagement after 1 whole year. I thought it was best but now I feel hurt. let me tell you it ain't easy going to have fun in life right after a breakup/divorce (I was divorced fr my 1st husband in 1994)
and with the holidays around the corner....sniff

so sister, let's give ourselves some time but not drown into sadness nor depression. leave it in God's hand....He'll know what to do with it.

Do not listen to country music!
Slow and easy is one way to deal with this.Just try to remember that this is for the best and you have this new and unknown amazing future ahead of you. It will all work out.

Or,just go slutty.( DO NOT DO THIS)

keep yourself busy, and do positive things for yourself. Dont know if you feel guilty, but if you do-definitely DONT. it takes two to get to the point of divorce regardless of the reason for divorce- it takes two.....
