Ok... I have to write a short story about someone who wakes up at three am to a screech from their closet. What is in the closet?

The screech in the closet comes from an old man who has traveled back in time and is the future self of the boy in the room to warn him that at 6am his life will change forever.
The old man is crazy and speaks in riddles and the boy tries desperately to understand what he has to do to avoid the fate of becoming like the man he sees before him.

The night was quite and still just a little nip in the air that made me get out my big old quilt from the closet .I left the closet door ajar as i stumbled in to bed .I don't remember falling asleep but i know it did not take long .
It was about 3 am that i awoke from a noise i wondered what could that scratching and screeching sound be coming from my closet oh my goodness it started to get louder as i listened more intensely . I thought this is somthing i need to check into ,I creeped out of bed with all these thoughts racing though my head i was a little scared i will admit.
I slowly opened the door wide and started to gaze in the dark closet what can it be ? i seen to eyes shinning in the dark and nothing more i ran to my light switch and fliped on the light i slowly poked my head back into the closet and i could not believe it was it really true??? There he was my old friend max I was so happy to see him and he seemed happy to see me! For max is my pet rat who exscaped from his cage 3 months before .I really never thought i would see him again. I lifted him up and put him in his old cage and ran to the kitchen to get him some cheese ,I bid him goodnight as i snuggled back in my bed.

A rare species of cute fuzzy thing that has become lost on it's migration because of corporate pollution and you and a friend have to take it back to it's habitat on sheer ingenuity, guts, bravery and Mc gyver type stuff because you are both broke and you have to find the source of the pollution and rich guys are trying to get you because if they get caught they loose their money. And you end up falling in love with your friend because of the courage and love they have shown. Cheesy, but it works every time. Good Luck

ok, he wakes up at three in the morning because his brother was hiding in the closet to scare him (they are twins about 8 years old) and the twin in the closet feels something grab his leg... Is he crazy? or was there really something holding onto his leg? hope this helps

Nothing. He/she goes over to the closet, checks it. And then they hear the scream again. It's so loud that he/she has to hold their ears closed. They yell really loud to try and drown out the sound.
If you don't like that one, then say a little girl. Who seems so sweet at first. Then the person turns a around and says to him/herself that it isn't real, turns around, and suddenly sees this zombie.

an old box of something the main character might like. something that they had stored up the closet for such a long time they forgot about it. suddenly it falls off a shelf in the closet and it reminds them of something.... good, bad, funny, scary...
