How would one research who use to live in your home? This sounds crazy or maybe not depending on what people believe, but my little girl sees a ghost in our house and can describe her. So how can i find out who lived in my home before me and the people i bought the house from? According the neighbors, they have not live that far back (1970) to help me out. One neighbor who has been next door for 15 years says, people came and gone here. No one really lived here long enough to get to know them. Please help

ohhhh good question!!! do you own or rent???? you can go to zillow.com and it is a realestate site and type in address, and it will tell you how many people have owned your house, and what year and how much it sold for! you can at least find out when the house was sold and track how many owners. it should be a matter of public record who has lived at your address.
type in "past home ownership tracking" into google search.....

Go to the Recorder's office, it should be listed in the phone book. Usually somewhere in or near City Hall. They should be able to tell you who the previous owners of your property were as far back as it goes. It is helpful to have the property description, you will find it on the papers when your property was purchased. They may be able to just go by the address, but over time, streets change as the city grows and sometimes so do addresses if your house is very old.

I think if you go to your City Hall they have records of everyone who has lived at that address.
