When Repugs had the majority Bush did not veto anything. Since the Repugs lost the majority, Bush is being a cry baby and trying to keep Democrats from passing their agenda, in hopes to blame them in coming elections.

1. Cheney is NOT a President.

2. They have a different idea about what is good for America than you do.

3. Bush didn't veto ANYTHING until just this year so your claim that he/they (vice-presidents don't have veto power)
veto everything doesn't hold water.

4. A veto can be a tool to get Congress to amend legislation thereby making it better (in the eyes of the President) before it is passed. vetoes often come with demands that certain things in the bill be added, deducted or changed.

5. You won't have to worry about Bush/Cheney much longer since Bsh's term is almost over and Cheney is not running.

PEACE

The veto is the tool the President has to reject legislation he feels is not good for America. Congress has been granted the authority to override that veto.
This Congress has repeatedly passed legislation they know will be vetoed so the President is being forced to use that veto. Congress should work on legislation that has a chance of becoming law, not wasting time to pass legislation that is certain to be vetoed when they know they don't have the voted to override that veto.

Bush has only vetoed a small handful of bills. All of them desrved vetoes. Cheney hasn't vetoed anything because he doesn't have the power to do so unless he is filling in for Bush.

they do, its the liberals that dont. the problem is when the pelosi;/reid regime proposes a bill, they rarely think about who funds it and usually its the WORKING conservatives. a perfect example is the latest defense bill ....9000 earmaks or special interest pork barrel spending projects, some identified only by city and passed to congress at the last minute to avoid any debate authored by pelosi. its a good whitewash the regime does but bottom line is the liberals could care less who gets the bill.

Actually, Cheney doesn't veto... Only the president... He vetoes something he knows is bad for the country. Thus far all his vetoes have been outstanding...

Here is a example for Cookie Monster. Bringing the troops home and child healthcare. They should get America's opinion before they veto those kind of things. I will be glad when Obama is in the white house.

It's almost like they are trying to destroy our country. They obviously have big business in mind, like Katrina where citizens aren't allowed to go back to their homes because they are building new business there.
