Considering the way the parasites- and yes, that's what most of them are- tend to barge in where it's not their business to be- YES. Frankly, they're among the reasons I don't waste time watching TV or paying attention to most early morning radio. I don't want to know who's sleeping with who while being married to someone else.

Because people will always be interested in what the famous people are doing, who they're dating etc so there will always be need for paparazzi to exist. It might not be the best thing for a photographer to do but it pays well and people are "demanding" to know more about celebrities. If they didn't exist tabloids and other magazines that have to do with the life of famous people wouldn't exist. Sometimes the famous people need the exposure so they actually call the paparazzi and let them know where they're gonna be so they can be back in the picture and be the talk of the town. There will always be a demand and supply for that issue.

only in the sense that they shouldnt be allowed to barge in on celebreties lives. I mean yea you can right anything you want about them but if lets say... George clooney (sp) wanted to go out for a jog they shouldnt be allowed to snap thousands of pics. Thats like invasion of privacy....
If they do something stupid like get drunk at a night club and start brawling with everyone then yeah sure snap them pics they'd be funny. But definitely not when they're doing a private activity where they just want to be left alone.

Freedom of the press.

Until an individual becomes dangerous or violates a stalking law, they have the right.

If a celebrity doesn't like the attention, then hole up, hide out, and give back all the money.

well in some cases, I saw then on t.v. the other night swarming around Julia Robert's, and she asked them to stop, and they just kept clicking away, in that case it's rude, some people like Paris Hilton, enjoy it, but some don't, they need to have some rules, thats for sure
