Can I take the Pharmacy Tech Certification exam without taking a course? I have found many books online and I can learn a lot on my own. I just don't think I can afford taking an online course at this time.

You can take the exam without taking a course. Most do not take a course because the exam is so simple that a few months of experience is all that is needed.
