Ever watch "Educating Rita?" 'Tis a good, old movie. In this movie, Susan is a working-class woman who's trying to get a university education. She learns "alliteration" by calling it "... getting the rhyme wrong." Alliteration is a couple of words (maybe more) that begin the same. "Getting the rhyme wrong" is alliterative because "rhyme" and "wrong" begin with the same sound. Tongue twisters frequently rely on alliteration to make them difficult- "Rubber baby buggy bumpers" or "She sells sea shells by the sea shore"

Onomatopoeia is a word that sounds like a sound- "Achoo!" is a good example. But so is "knock" or "buzz" or "hum." Most animal sounds are onomatopoetic- "meow" and "bark" and "hiss."
