It might be worth trying if it does not have adverse side effects. I know you have heard this before numerous times but please take an old ex heavy smoker`s advice and just quit smoking cold turkey. Joint a support group or just get one person to quit with you. That helps a lot more than you think. The reason most people do not succeed in quitting is that they get to thinking after a few days or weeks that the indescribable, almost unbearable craving for a cigarette will never cease. But lo and behold it will diminish and disappear in a much shorter time than you might expect. If you believe that God is concerned about such things as smoking then pray for him to help you quit. If you do not believe that God can or will help you quit then just declare you have quit and that God or no other super power can make your craving strong enough to cause you to smoke again. I declared that I was quitting 15 years ago and succeeded. But if I had failed I was prepared to start praying for god`s help because I was determined to quit smoking. Always remember that your craving will come to pass and you will be free from the nagging torment that haunts you during the withdrawal period. This did not answer your question but it is something to consider if laser fails. It is unbelievable how much your health improves after you quit smoking. Good luck.

We looked into it very extensively (wife smokes). We wanted to start our own franchise. We actually got one of the "nurses" from one of the places to admit that the lasers were nothing more than low-powered red lasers (the kind used in laser pens), and that their sucess rate was no different than someone who was on any other kind of stop-smoking program (i.e. the tapes and little booklets that come in a nicotine 'patch' box).

My wife neither started treatment with them, nor would we start any franchise for something 'shady', like this.

You only use a laser if you getting something cut away or eye surgery or operations . But it won't help you with quitting smoking . The only way is to gradually decrese the cigarettes and then quit or go cold turkey

I haven't tried that, personally but I know people that have done similar things. The biggest thing about doing any of that wierd stuff to help you quit is that it will only work if you really want to quit to begin with. If you really don't want to quit you will start back up no matter what

The only way a laser could help you quit smoking is either by cauterizing your lips shut or cutting your fingers off with one.

The only thing proven to be even 50% effective is cold turkey. No other methods are nearly as effective, and are usually a waste of money, or get you even more addicted to nicotine like the gums and patches.

You have to want to quit. That's all there is to it.
