As early as now, I am already experiencing itching all over my body and to relieve it, I just use body lotion to moisturize my whole body especially the back and tummy area.

I heard people say not to use lotions because it goes through your bloddstream which could affect the baby. I only use vaseline lotion. Do you think it's ok for me to use vaseline? It does relieve the itching. Or do you suggest some safer lotion if vaseline isn't good for pregnant women? Thank you.

OMG I've been so itchy too! I'm 15 weeks along and with the winter here too... it's been hell on my skin!! My doc recommended Aveeno lotion daily and then to soak in the tub with the Aveeno oatmeal stuff if it got really bad. Works wonders!

I have never heard you can't/shouldn't use lotion! I have used something called Anti Eau ( all natural plant oils) from Clarins and a body butter called Shedonism from Origins it does wonders for itchy skin and I have no stretch marks I am 39 weeks and gain 30 lbs!

Good luck!

I've never heard that! Go ahead and lotion up. I've found that Palmer's cocoa butter lotion helps me with the itching. slather it on right when you get out of the shower.

Vaseline lotion should be fine. It won't hurt the baby and will relieve the itching that you are feeling.

bag balm makes a great anti-itch balm that is used on humans and animals. Only thing is that it isnt very light. very thick.

or Gold bond medicated lotion is what i've used and it works great.

I'd be a little weary of vaseline because it's made of oil. Oil as in what we put in our cars oil. But if your doctor says no prob then I'm not one to argue --I'd ask.

I have real itchy skin myself. My doctor told me to use "Sarna" lotion. It is the best I have tried.
