In Wisconsin you have to wait six months to get a marriage lisence from the date that the divorce is final. Now lets say I get divorced and that weekend I go to Nevada to get married and obtain a marriage license from Nevada and get married in Nevada then come home to Wi is the marriage still legal. In Nevada the divorce has to be completely final to obtain a marriage license.

You have to meet the requirements of the exact state youre getting married. Any divorce has to be finalized in any state before you can move on or the qualifying state will not issue the license. Happy Holidays
