Yes, when I was about 7 or 8, I was sitting in the car waiting on my dad to come out the store. We was parked on a hill and I pulled the emergency brake down and put the car in reverse(don't know why I did that, just curious I guess). The car started rolling back towards traffic and a guy who was standing outside saw this and ran toward the car, hopped in and stopped the car just in time. He drove the car back up the hill, in front of the store and left. My dad never knew what happened. If the guy hadn't helped me, I probably would not be here today.

At an early age of eight one of my Dad's workers in the US Army saved me from being swept out to sea on a beach in Hawaii. It was very scary to say the least, I did not know how to swim and the water was so swift it eroded the beach from under my feet and I toppled into the water and was pulled out. 'Cowboy' jumped into the water and grabbed me and pulled me out. It seemed as if I was under the water forever but it was only less than a minute. Thank you 'Cowboy'. The last I heard he is married living in Texas somewhere. He went to Vietnam in 1965 with the 32nd DPU, 25th Infantry. They were in Cu chi South Vietnam until they came home the following year.

Sadly, no. When I was drowning in the pool, no one came to save me. The lifeguard didn't even do it. And as I was thinking I was going to die in the pool, the end of my 11 year life was near, I had a brilliant moment where instinct hit and I started to swim.

When I resurfaced, everyone was crowded around Raven, apparently while I was going down, my hand poked her in the eye. No one cared that I was coughing up chlorinated water, and it burned.

NOTE: I'm WAY older than 11 now

Tito saved me when I was jumped by at least 14 different Pez's ... he reached down & grabbed my by the collar just as Sinbad swung his blade in my direction .... The crazy thing is ... I was having so much fun ... I jumped back in.

I suppose a few doctors/surgeons have rescued me in my time...but I don't think I have ever been *too* close to the brink.
