Edit- I'll rephrase all this, did she cover herself up when she
started talking on the phone? I never had any kids but
if I had, I would go to the bathroom to do that. Of course,
that is just my opinion. Thumbs down as usual.
They call this judging but look at some answers, it's not
dirty or you're a baby hater. Who said it was dirty or hate
babies? If a woman is breast feeding in front of my eyes,
I look away fast. That is respectful. LOL Speaking of the
germs, aren't there germs that are air born and everywhere,
not just in the bathroom? Btw, I got an email from someone
who didn't like my answer. I am not arguing back and forth.
Also, the answer, tell the Mom so she can beat the ___ out of
you and all the thumbs up? The world is getting more violent.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. Hope people do not try
to cause trouble or beat people up.

I knew there would be a bunch of irate Mothers on here.
I know alot of guys wouldn't be offended by it, there was
one guy who was so busy watching a Mom breast feed,
he almost ran into a wall. Some women also like to show
their breasts off. I am another from the old school and
I would rather they not do it in public. Hunny Bunny, my
point, a spectacle, which means alot of guys are staring
or people do not want to see it. Also, beating someone
up for not wanting to see it and people agreeing here,
what a violent world we live in these days.

Actually, when i breastfed my daughter (for 2 years), I would continue to do things while I breastfed - like eat dinner, talk on the phone, type on the computer, etc. Breastfeeding is actually easy to do once you get the hang of it. As for the women who stopped to answer the phone, you never know if her child was almost through or still hungry. If he was still hungry, then it WAS a pretty selfish thing to do.

Good response Pitusi...
If she sat the baby up and got no protest he was probably done. And yes, in that case, I might do that, since I have caller ID, as does almost everyone in the world who has a cell phone. And yes, I would absolutely feed my baby if he were hungry.
As far as 'IT', you guys need to get over 'it' if you can 't even use the word 'breast' or 'nipple' appropriately when referring to the appropriate use of those parts. Besides, you'd see more exposure looking around the rest of the mall.
And to all those baby haters who say she should feed her infant in the bathroom, I guess YOU must enjoy the health benefits of eating in the bathroom - perhaps while sitting on the toilet? and maybe while talking on your cell phones too? lol

What's the big deal? Was the baby crying? No, then the baby was probably just having a little snack and wouldn't mind waiting.
Sheesh you know how many times I have to put my newborn down during a feed to chase my toddler.
Or start dinner, then have to nurse even though I just nursed him 20 minutes ago. So I nurse for a few minutes, check on dinner, nurse for a few minutes, check on dinner.
I love my baby to death but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Maybe she was worried that if she had one hand holding her phone and her baby pulled away from the breast (leaving her exposed) she wouldn't be able to cover up fast enough. People get really WEIRD and immature sometimes over mothers breastfeeding in public. It's shameful that we live in a society that sometimes attacks nursing mothers, but then is perfectly fine with other women walking around half-naked and dressed like hoochies. Go figure.

I may not agree with her priorities but give her props for taking the time to nurse her baby. A lot of people are very judgemental before they know what its like to be a mother themselves; and before they know how time consuming breastfeeding is. If she's taking the time to breastfeed her child, I have some respect for her. Its also not so polite to stare at a nursing mom - there's a lot of people that actually quit because of the public making it a spectacle. Show some respect.

Nope, I've seen moms with a bottle of formula stopping the feeding to reach their phone though (no kidding!).
Uh oh! It was in public! Ew, gross!

maybe it was a very important phone call...could have been the baby's doctor or something. It all depends on the situation. maybe it was just a snack or maybe he was almost finished anyway. I'm sure she would put the baby back on after she was done. I wouldn't judge unless I knew the whole situation.

I learned long ago that some babies absolutely hate to breastfeed if mom is talking. Perhaps this is a call she was waiting for. No big deal.

Have the people who have answered this question actually breastfed???
It's no big deal to unlatch your baby for a few!! It could've been an important call that she couldn't miss, or heck even if it wasn't, it's still no big deal.
