I have a 50 gal reef tank whose pH is too low, about 8.0, I want the pH to go up to 8.3 - 8.4, and I have a safe additive to do that, but what is the equation to determine, based on the pH of the input solution, how much I would need, or what concentration of X volume of additive I'd need to raise the 55 + X gallons to 8.3 pH ? FYI I'm actually using this, I"m not a college flake trying to get someone else to do my homework for me :D

The following information is required before anyone may be able to help you:
(1) What is inside your reef tank with pH 8.0?
(2) How many gallons of that is inside your reef tank?
(3) what is the concentration of the stuff in your reef tank?
(4) What is the additive you will use to adjust the pH?
(5) What is the concentration of your additive?
