I hate Christmas because you're expected to buy gifts..
and if you don't have enough money to buy gifts for everyone..you pull out the credit card and put yourself in debt.
I hate Christmas because I'm socially awkward..even around my family..and my awkwardness has a spotlight put on it when I'm surrounded by everyone
I hate Christmas because food is a large part of the holiday and as I suffer from an eating disorder....well..you see where I'm going with this..
I hate Christmas..because it's a time of cheer and goodwill..which reminds me just how depressed I am.
P.S. If anyone has got a shot of joy laying around..I'm willing to take it.

I don't hate it however it is a very sad time of the year for a wide variety of reasons. I see so many spending what they do not have on what they do not need and what will not last, driving themselves into depressions and psychotic behavior as they do so, while the truly needy are given "crumbs" from the table of the orgy of consumer consumption and outright greed. What little spirituality there is in the season has to take a back seat to all of this. Then, it's over! The spirit of "giving" quickly is forgotten although the needy still exist and are still in need, such as the hungry, homeless, the lonely and the elderly. Those who over spent now must deal with near finanicial ruin and not eanough left to pay the bills. It would be so much nicer and more reasonable if we all simply tried to be nicer and more charitable all year long rather than making a display of the same once a year. ma'a salaam

for the most part yes. it's not "my" holiday as i'm non-christian so i have to coform to others beliefs and keep my mouth shut out of respect for their biased views. i think it's wrong to cram another religion down every-ones throat but it's good for the economy and money talks right? proven fact that suicide rates soar this time of year and often it is someone who touches my life. the holidays seem to bring out the worst in a lot of people with greed being at the top of the list. how often i've had people make demands of me and say "well after all it's xmas" who cares if it's the 4th of july the answer is still no! pretty much have to say yes, i think i hate xmas, definately strongly dis-like it. don't let that stop you from buying me a gift though i can be just as greedy as the believers.

NO....but I hate the commercialism of it and the fact that most of it forget the real reason behind it. But I love to hear from my friends and distant family and love to let them know I am thinking of them. I am sad though, as you are. I miss my love.

why do you hate it, my holidays arent what they once were but i dont hate it, talk to someone close to you, go out and have a good time, you dont really need a holiday to celebrate do you? go have some fun for the hell of it

you must have had a bad experience. May be Santa did not get you what you wanted. May be this Christmas will be differant.

no i dont hate christmas but i miss all my friends. theyre back home while im on vacation as you know. and i know why you do hate christmas but thats ok.
