my mom went to 21 places looking for a WII for me for christmas and she didnt find not one.....i would think since they are sooo expensive that there would be plenty of them.....are they really that cool?

They are hard to find right now and the wii is not expensive, it's only $250, cheap compare to XBOX 360 and the PS3, which is $300 and up. Nintendo cannot keep up with the demands. Your mother might able to find one after the holidays. since almost everyone wants one for Christmas. I enjoy playing with mine and got lucky when I got mine. Good luck getting one. :)

Actually it's because they are NOT very expensive that they are so scarce $250 compared to $400-$600 for Xbox360 and PS3. Plus they are very popular among those 13 and under. Nintendo has had a whole year to make more units, one should ask why they cannot fill the demand.

The reason they are a rarity... is because they are not actually that expensive for a NextGen Console. I have one, I got it on opening night in November of 06. They are alot of fun, and good to play... but alot of hardcore gamers.. who enjoy playing for hours on end.. have problems with the system. It isn't the gameplay, but it is a "baby console". It has a very limited selection of games and because of the control style (without a classic controller, like on xbox) it gets tiring. You might want to check into EB Games, or GameStop, you might get lucky on getting a used one someone traded in.. If your mom is willing to fork out the cash, she might get one online. My friend sold his Wii system... 4 controllers... and about a dozen or so games for $600 on eBay. Also.. Alot of stores restock during the day, so she should call ahead and see when they bring them out.

yea now till christmas GAMESTOP is letting you buy a wii for full price. you give then your address and phone number and it will be at your house by newyears or the day after christmas. depents what day u buy it.
