After a 41-7 drubbing by division rivals Denver Broncos two weeks ago, which at the time was KC's 6th straight loss (they're at 7 now with an overal record of 4-10), Herm Edwards told Chiefs fans "People aren't used to this in Kansas City. Get over it. It happens."

It's two weeks later and I'm still so enraged that I can't even keep my thoughts straight when I try to think about the subject.

What would your reaction be to something like this?

Angels fan - he wasn't talking to or about the players. He was telling all the Chiefs fans that were getting on him for a piss poor season to "Get over it"

not even close to the same thing as trying to get a team fired up.

jongonzo - I liked the first one just fine. As far as the second one, I don't take any AFC West loss (especially at Arrowhead) very well.

For the couple of people that said he'll be fired. That's part of why I'm so mad - I'm 99% sure that he won't be fired. King Carl (who needs to be fired himself, but has a deathgrip on his job) loves Herm more than he loves his own children.

Chief - you can't tell me that as a Yankee fan, if they went 62-100 and you were told to "get over it" you wouldn't be a happy camper

obviously, you could see the frustration in him. he was probably just furious with the media attacking him for the Chiefs record. i think if i were in his shoes, it might accidentally slip out of my mouth as well. just pure frustration. the last thing he wants is people attacking him for the team's problems. if i were a fan, i would be just as upset as you. i don't blame you at all for his remarks. there wouldn't be much for me to do though. looking at it from your perspective, i would say it is frustrating because 7 weeks ago my team was in first place in the division, now they just can't win. on the other hand, they were not predicted to do much over the offseason, and the Chiefs defense is looking very sharp. if only Croyle would step up, the problems would be solved. i would give Herm another shot next season to see how things turn out. the Chiefs were expected to be rebuilding, and that defense has definately come along. so, at some point i would suggest you to forgive him and hope he does bring that offense up to par with the defense. i know that is not easy, but it's a suggestion.

he should get over the fact that he's a head coach, he'll be job hunting at the end of the year, and with all the spots that will be opening up around the NFL im sure Hermie wont have a problem finding another team to drag to the bottom.

It wasn't a good hire in the first place, he is a secodn tier coach, he is good for a few years and then it starts to fall apart. He should be brought in for 3 year and then a little different coach could take the next step

All he meant was that the game and the season so far are in the past and you can't do anything about it now. You have to look ahead. If something like this enrages you, you need a life.

He's a terrible coach. He'll be fired at the end of the season, even though the problems are more attributable to the talent level.

From A's fan from before Billy Ball until 2001. Charlie Finley used to drive us nuts but it turns out he was right about the way things are going. Gutting the team then, shrugging his shoulders about it sure PO'd us. It still burns me to this day.

He ain't going to be fired...
The main reason why he said that is because of stupidity. He made a mistake, everyone does. He just made a very bad one that many people hate and know about now. That's why the Jets got rid of him.

Herm Edwards is your master, and you will do as he says. The more you struggle to resist his wishes, the worse your team will perform.

Just do as he says.
