Who really knows honestly gorillas and humans are both in the Ape Family. A donkey and a horse can do it and produce young (Mule / Hinney) A Tiger and Loin can do it and produce young (Liger/Tigon) Different species but still in the same Family. So unless it was ever tried which seems doubtfully we will never know for ceartin. I saw on a show once quite a long time ago there was rumors that a science facility had successfully fertilized a human egg with the sperm of a gorilla or Chimp, but that it was terminated before the first trimester.
hypothetically tested is just that an assumption a guess. How would one really know unless it was tried.

No, and I won't bash you for asking a "stupid" question that I asked myself in science class. I know where you're coming from, you think that because we share a lot of genes and are evolutionarily related, it's possible to get pregnant by one.
The reason is that humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes while gorillas and all other apes have 24, so they can't interbreed. Were it not for that difference, like breeding different species of dogs together, we might very well have gorilla/human crossbreeds living among us today!

No, it is not possible. even though the ape and the human are closely related it is not possible for either species to get pregnant from the other. I dont know the specifics but it has something to do with how the DNA in the species are different so the gorilla sperm cant mix with the egg of the the human and vice versa. by the way, not a dumb question.

ok, nobody REALLY answered this for you. It's the same way that a dog can't get a cat pregnant. DNA has to be compatible to create pregnancy. So, no. We have enough different from gorillas' DNA to avoid such problems.
However, I believe that aids came from people having sex with gorillas.

i don't think you could get pregnant by it...maybe make a freakish child? but you can most likely get a gorilla pregnant...if she doesn't attack you. Homosapiens and gorillas/monkeys supposedly have almost the same genes and stuff, right?

You can cross a domestic dog with a wolf, and some varieties of mice with hamsters, but the human/gorilla combo has already been hypothetically tested and its assumed not to work....plus you'd have the ethical issue of the half breed thinger..

No, the genetics involved would stop the pregnacy.
Having looked in a mirror sometimes I doubt that and wonder about my parents, sigh. Could one or both have been a shaved Gorilla?
