Im 15 And Planning To Get My GED When I Turn 16 (Me And My Mum Checked The Age, Im Aloud To Cause im Bi-Polar) And I Was Gunna Get A Job And Save To Go To A College So I Signed Up For College Info With At Least 4 Places And The Website Took My Age When I Put 15 And I Was Getting My GED, But When They Called They Said That They Cant Give Me The Info Just Because Im Under The Age Of 18. It Says Nothing About Having To Be Over 18.

Now Is It Just Me, Or Should They Not Of Accepted My Request For Info If I Had To Be 18??

Sure, if they took money from you and refused to refund it without properly indicating that you had to be 18, you could sue for the amount you spent. You can not sue for the time you spent filling out the form.

That is because privacy laws prohibit them collecting or using information of minors.

They are free to serve whomever they wish.

There are plenty of other places that serve up college info, including the guidance office at your school.

Being bipolar has nothing to do with when you can complete high school.

Most schools that want you to be finished HS will prefer a diploma and well rounded HS experience over a GED.

Not all schools care if you graduate or not - if you have great grades and superb SATs, you can get in.

I'd rather not say what super early age I went to college here (your email was blocked), and I went to a top University, but they never asked for a HS diploma. And I was far from the youngest kid there. Some were as young as 12 IIRC.

So good for yo ufor going to college early if you are ready for the academic work, but the ones that will take you young are either low level schools where you won't be challenged and will be more isolated then in hs, or they are top level schools where they don't care if you graduated or not.

Maybe you should look into effective treatment for that bi-polar thing. It can take a few tries to get exactly right, but it is worth doing or so my psychologist gf tells me....

Many colleges will, for liability reasons, not accept students under 18.

Nothing illegal, and no-one you can sue over it.

And by the way, you'll never get into college anyway if you Don't Get Your Excess Capital Letters Problem Solved And Learn That They Only Go At The Beginning Of A Sentence Or On A Proper Name.

If you are planning to enter college, perhaps you should learn to articulate your communications a bit more clearly. Spelling correctly would help as well.

They won't give you the information because you are required to enter into some form of contractual agreement with them before they give you the information, and you cannot legally enter into such an agreement under the laws of most states until you are 18.

A good solution would be to try to get your "Mum" to get the info for you.

Ok first, that has got to be the longest sentence in history. Secondly, colleges can deny you info and entrance into their college because you are underage. My advice get your diploma. If your school has a secondary school for like teen mother and such I would suggest you try to get in there if you want to finish early. You can get your diploma and finish early. Last, I wouldn't apply for major universities try community colleges first.
