She's 16. She is 12 wks pregnant. Way to follow your sis steps Jamie Lynn. What are ur thought bout it?

The Spears family really is a disgrace ... now I'm sure some of the few sympathetic Britney fans left would disagree ... but it's true. It wasn't too long ago that Britney Spears was the all American superstar. She had fame and fortune worldwide and she had the chance to do some good and set a good example for teenagers, but she blew it. She got married for a day, then divorced. Then she married a loser, had 2 kids and divorced again. She started drinking, doing crazy publicity stunts, shaved all her hair off, had a very public conflict with her mother, and then she messed up at the VMA's.

And now Britney’s sweet little sister, is pregnant at 16 by a19 year old man … and let’s not forget about that parenting book the mother was writing.

A few months ago, someone might have said that this is just a bad phase that Britney and her family are going through, but it’s a little late now. Britney Spears will forever be known as good girl gone bad, and her family… white trash.

Geez whats wrong with people People are being so judgmental. Jamie Lynn isnt the first teenage girl to be pregnant and she wont be the last. Girls get pregnant and have babies everyday. Jamie Lynn is old enough to know the consequences of having sexual intercourse and what it could lead up to. She chose to have sex with her boyfriend and now she has to deal with the consequences. Pregnancy is something that could happen to any girl or woman. Birth Control and condoms arent 100% effective. People are being judgmental about Jamie Lynn getting pregnant at 16 when a lot of people out there whos mothers and fathers were teenage parents and are teenage parents when they are/were Jamie Lynns age. Jamie Lynn isnt a virgin. Most people arent these days. Hell a lot of people out there lost their virginity when they were Jamie Lynns age. Now Shes getting critized for it and being pregnant. People are such hypocrites when a lot of them did the same thing. As for Britney she was married and a grown woman when she had her two kids. People shouldnt judge Jamie Lynn by her big sister. Jamie Lynn is her own person and so is Britney. People are being way too harsh judging Jamie Lynn. No one is perfect. Everyone has done things. Hopefully Jamie Lynn will have the support of family and friends to help her through this ordeal.

I actually don't care. What's with everyone's fixation with the Spears family? They're just white-trash that was lucky enough to get their faces on TV for a few years. Celebrities are for people who's lives are so boring that they'd rather live vicariously through someone who's like an imaginary friend to them. FYI, the only notable thing Britney and Jamie have done was appear on TV; why don't we talk about people who head large corporations, or people who are researching things like nanotechnology or genes to help aid in a cure for cancer? Why is Jamie Lynn Spears important? What baring does she have on your life? Yeah, she's pregnant. Big whoop. All that proves is that you can take the family out of the trailer park, but you can't take the trailer park out of the family. You people are stupid. Everyone makes fun of Britney and now Jamie Lynn, yes, they ARE stupid; but if it's at the point that your constantly reading celeb mags and talking about them as though you know them, you're even worse because you CARE what's happening to the white-trash, which indicates that you may be in need of a life.

i think its ok im saying im proud of her but now a days 13 years old are pregnant. just cause she is britney spears' sister doesnt mean jamie is gonna turn out like her. Jamie might end up being a good mother. who knows. right now all you have to do is wait and hope her the best.

708 (Level 2) I think from reading a lot of other questions about this issue that ppl are really judgemental, I mean yeah it was stupid for her to go and get herself knocked up but it could've happend to any of us, were ALL of you virgins at the age of 16, and even if you did use birth control that still isn't 100% so this technically could happen to more ppl then it does. Lets just hope she rises above and is a really loving and good mother to her child, whats done is done. It's not like she is gonna end up on welfare or anything she can technically afford this child financially and hopefully with all the ppl in her life the child will grow up loved and taken care of. But we really shouldn't be judging her or even her mother for that matter, kids always do things they shouldn't no matter how you raise them they ultimately choose their own path in the end. I wish her the best and her child too.

I'm no Brittany fan but Jamie is NOT like her sister she's far worse. Brittany was in her twenties and married. Jamie is not even an adult and having sex with a child molester. Wasn't there a black kid who was in jail for 5 yeas just for getting a bj by a girl a year younger? And this jerk is allowed to impregnate a child? Yeah the justice system to totally equal!!!

I think Jamie getting pregnant is a lot worse than Brittany. FIrst off, she's only 16 and her "boyfriend" is 19, not only which is skanky, but also illegal. Also, they met in "Church", maybe she'll claim immaculate conception. Britney was a lot older and married. Jamie is a 16 yr old and it's pretty amazing she didn't get pregnant sooner, considering she's been dating Casey Aldridge who is 3 years older than her, since she was 13. Haha, her mom was going to write a parenting book but that is now on hold.

Yeah -- great role model - as if we don't have enough (her sister, Lohan, Hilton and the rest) -- it makes me angry. I'm just glad I'm not raising children anymore -- they're grown. It's sad.....granted I know it happens but these females have to realize how they are affecting USA teen girls -- and they need to have a decent reputation -- I KNOW teenagers get pregnant and okay - it happens -- I can live with that BUT now that this girl in the limelight has done this, the "girls" are going to think it's the right thing to do. I think it's disgusting. Everyone thought she was the one decent Spear. She claimed that sex before marriage was wrong and released all kinds of statements saying she would never do such a thing and she was such a good little Christian and would never compromise her morals etc etc etc.

She let a lot of people down. She lied. And she committed illegal and immoral acts by having sex as a child. BUT...

It's the BOYFRIEND who should be getting the brunt of this. We all know she knew what she was doing, but legally in her state, as a child, she is not able to consent to sex and was therefore raped.

So is the sleazy adult pedophile going to jail? Will he have to register as a sex offender or answer for his crimes? Is his career ruined too?

Well I am sad about the situation, however I cannot say that I am totally suprised ( I dont think that anyone can say that they were) I wish her the best of luck in all of her ventures that are going to come up in the next year or so. I remember back in high school there were teen mothers, so shes not alone. I hope the kids dad is there for her.
