Everyone has one - either in the kitchen or bedroom or both!
Mine seems to have things I thought I may need (receipts etc) and odds and sods of everything else.

The junk drawer at our house is in the kitchen and there are actually 2 of 'em side by side. From memory, they contain:
hammer
screwdrivers
nails
screws
2 measuring tapes
packing tape
masking tape
wrenches
pliers
batteries
stuff like that!

twistie ties
a remote control to who knows what
ketchup packets from fast food places nobody will ever use
a couple of screwdrivers
