He needs parenting classes if he thinks that's not dangerous. You don't leave a 6 month old playing unattended, for starters.

Edit-

Whoever giving thumbs down needs parenting classes too.

Eh...he probably shouldn't leave the controller with the baby, but I don't see it as a big deal. The buttons could pop off, but that is highly unlikely, and I don't think there's a huge danger of being strangled with the cord b/c its very thick and if its not plugged in then that's totally a non-issue. I think you're over-reacting a little bit. Get a bunch of baby-safe toys and keep them next to the sofa so your boyfriend can hand the baby a toy rather than the controller. Honestly, the baby is more likely to break the xbox than the xbox doing any damage to him.

If the buttons could come off, he shouldn't be playing with it. And electrical cords if it is a thick one shouldn't be too much of a hazard if they aren't plugged in. Not that I'd leave them unattended for too long. Most likely your son will be more of a hazard to the health of the Xbox than the other way around. It's not the best choice of toy though. If you are concerned, as you clearly are, he ought to listen to you and respect your wishes. The same works the other way around, if he's concerned with something you're doing.

Choking hazards. The baby can become tangled in the cord, and choke on buttons, etc.

Tell him not to let the baby play with it. The baby would love a ring stacker or something.

yeah... he needs to not do that...

the cord! the buttons!

those are hazardous. some ppl are good ppl, just not educated about certain things and their severity. he needs to know what is and isn't appropriate for someone so small and curious. hope it doesn't take a bad accident for him to come around... (not to sound morbid, I mean for the baby to choke or something)

What kind of "good dad" leaves a 6 mo old alone at all, let alone with a choking and strangling hazard?! Maybe he will listen if you tell him that the baby could destroy his toy.

A 6 month old baby should NEVER be left unattended, no matter what he is playing with.

the button will never pop off. there pretty good in there. the cord maybe anothr story if yoru baby is wrapping it around its head. but other then that there is nothing to choke on.
tell your husband to give the kid the wireless controller that came with the system and not the wired one.
