Lobster.
I can't abide a roast.
Traditionally (in the UK at least) it's a Christmas goose.
Goose was the main course of the Christmas meal, until the 1700s when farmers were introduced to Turkeys.
They're cheap and easy to mass-produce, that's why they got so popular.

I live in Greece. Not many families eat turkey here. Most people have pork as a lot of the villagers actually keep a pig and fatten it for Christmas. We're having a traditional dish of free range stuffed chicken cooked in tomato sauce and pickled cabbage -pork steaks and sausages,
and a range of salads. Boxing day is traditional English turkey and spuds day!

I love turkey! I've bought a crown, and am looking forward to my Christmas dinner, the Boxing Day curry and all the sandwiches.
My family are all-year-round turkey eaters anyway, as we don't eat red meat. I've been stocking up on turkey mince in my freezer as it is like gold dust in the UK come January.

we have turkey. I think turkey simply because its big. We are going to have 12 of us this christmas and theres no way a chicken or goose or any other bird will be big enough.
Suppose could have beef or something but for soem reason that just doesn't seem christmassy

you can eat anything for Christmas!!
People have turkey dinner for Christmas because they usually buy like 3 turkeys for thanksgiving, and wind up not cooking the other turkey!!
and .. it's a substitute for Fruit cake!! most people hated it so bad!! so they just wanted turkey
but my family serves like random Christmas foods!! But ours always has eggrolls(were asians), spaghetti, Ice Cream, cake,
and sometimes, fried chicken, or turkey ha ha

I am going to have turkey this year. I love most every other kind of meat, but turkey just seems the right kind of thing to have at this time of year.
