This sounds weird, but my vagina smells sometimes.

It isnt 'fishy' or anything, and i don't have a UTI (ive had those before and this isn't one.) But there is always a discharge on my underwear, that smells almost urine-y. I know i don't pee my pants, its only on the panties. I'm not sure what it could be? I've been to the gyno (not about this, but for a checkup) and she didn't mention anything irregular or anything.

Any advice would be great! thanks.

(Ive read some other topics, and fyi: I DO shower regularly and wash myself with soap. and i do wear cotton undies. so don't give me a smartass answer please :) )

Discharge is normal. As long as it isn't fishy, have a cottage cheese like consistency, or is any other color than clear, white, or pale yellow than you're fine.

There is a normal musky odor to vaginal discharge, but it varies throughout the time of your cycle. I am not sure if what you are describing falls into this category. Have you looked at yourself with a mirror? Do you see any discharge that collects there? When you shower you need to wash between the inner and outer labia and the folds of skin, every woman's shape is different. If the smell is worrisome or unpleasant to you, I would ask your doctor, I'm sure she would be able to tell you if there was anything for concern. Good luck!

You might want to wear a panty liner everyday and change at least once a day. Make sure that the panty liner is non-scented (the "Carefree breathable" kinds are good too). That way when you do discharge (and its totally normal) you can change your panty liner and you can feel fresh. I would also suggest some wipes (non-scented ones) to freshen up when changing your panty liner. As long as its not thick and stuff like Krissy said you are okay.

Maybe you need to properly follow the wiping procedure after urination.

Step 1: Sit down on toilet and start urination process. (Note: Make sure to remove all undergarments prior to evacuation of urinal fluids.)

Step 2: Stay seated until stream has ceased.

Step 3: Fold an ample amount of toilet paper in a 8 x 8 square and cleanly sweep from front to back. (Note: Vigorous rubbing could cause irritation or discharge.)

This process has helped women across the country and should help you with your vaginal odor, or as they say in the medical field, V.O. If this process does not help seek IMMEDIATE medical attention!

Love,
Billy

sounds like you may have an incompetent urethra, if so, you leak small amounts of urine which make your panties odorous. If it isn't too bad, you can probably get by just using panty liners, but for women, this problem usually progresses over time, eventually leading to a surgical bladder procedure to prevent further leakage.

it could be when after you using the restroom you dont let the urine finish dripping out so to say just wear a panty liner

I don't know but I have the same problem. It smells stronger than the cat's litter box. It comes and goes for me with no real cause.
